Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino Review
Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino was the first hotel we stayed at on our week long vacation in Vegas. Based on the photos and location, the resort lived up to my expectations.
Despite the hidden fees, Planet Hollywood provided us a comfortable stay with endless access to the Las Vegas Strip. Even though our stay only amounted to two nights, we were able to capture the sparkling Eiffel Tower from our room. Here is my detailed review of our stay at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino!
Location
Since the resort is located on the strip, it is in walking distance to countless attractions like the fountains at the Bellagio, inside shopping mall, and restaurants. Planet Hollywood is also about two miles away from the Allegiant Stadium.
If you’re coming from the airport, be prepared to pay at least $25 for a taxi. There is a sign just outside the airport that gives the price ranges for the hotels along the strip.
Parking
If you decide to rent a car while in Vegas, there are many car rental places available. But the tricky part is finding where to park as the garage for Planet Hollywood is quite hidden. However, it’s less than a mile away and easy to manage once you find it.
Hotel Room
The room we initially booked had been upgraded to two queen beds with a bathtub and shower. Even though the room lacked a microwave, there was small refrigerator to place our drinks in to make sure we stayed hydrated. Overall, the room was comfortable and offered high quality bedding and views. We couldn’t ask for a better place to check into after our long journey.
The added bonus to the room was the double sinks and extra space to accommodate four people. Let’s just say we were all blown away by the modern and sleek design.
Features
Planet Hollywood Resort has its own set of casinos just like the neighboring resorts like The Cosmopolitan.
In the lobby, there are also other activities including a souvenir shop and Planet Hollywood Cafe. Once you make it past the casinos, there is a mall that is easily accessible for all guests and has various cuisines.
One of the best features of the resort is the rooftop pooling with lounge chairs. It is advised to go earlier to beat the crowds as well as bring cash for lounge chairs.
Planet Hollywood also has multiple elevators to make up for 39 floors although there were still times when the lines to the elevators were long.
Planet Hollywood has a modern and luxurious design but is fairly affordable compared to the Bellagio and Cesars Palace.
Make sure to take advantage of the off season and get the most out of your money! Hope you loved my review of Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. I will definitely plan another trip in the future.
