A Fall Guide to Sinkland Farms
The time of year has come to celebrate all things fall and Sinkland Farms is the perfect place for it! A farm located in Christiansburg, Virginia, Sinkland Farms has something for everyone during the fall season.
You can enjoy a hayride with a cup of apple cider or test your sense of direction with a corn maze. Here is a fall guide to Sinkland Farms in Virginia.
Things to do at Sinkland Farms
1. Corn Maze
Sinkland Farms has two corn mazes, one for adults and one for children. However, it is best to prepare ahead of time if you decide to tackle the complex adult maze.
I learned the hard way when I found myself lost despite having a map of the checkpoints. Every year, the design of the corn mazes changes, so you can always go in with a challenge.
2. Pumpkin Picking
It’s always super fun to pick out pumpkins for the fall season. Sinkland Farms has every pumpkin you can imagine for prices starting at $1 through $15.
I have to admit that the prices for the big pumpkins are quite expensive, especially after paying the admission fee. It might be better to purchase pumpkins at your local grocery store.
3. Hayrides
Going to an autumn event isn’t complete without the scenic hayride. Even though you have to pay extra, the ride is well worth it. You might even see a scary scarecrow on the way.
4. Farm Animals
One of the best parts is meeting cute farm animals like baby pigs and goats. It is definitely a winning aspect if you have children. I mean who wouldn’t expect to see farm animals at Sinkland Farms?
5. Local Venues
There are quite a few venues to check out once you’ve entered inside the farms. Many of them sell food and cute fall-inspired gifts.
6. Apple Cider
The special fall activities wouldn’t be complete without the steaming hot apple cider. I don’t know about you but fall hasn’t even started yet in less apple cider appears.
7. Outdoor Games
Since Sinkland Farms is mainly an outdoor attraction, they have a variety of cool games to play for the fall season. If you have children, they will definitely seek out this opportunity.
8. Classic Love Sign
The love sign is actually common in pumpkin patches here in Virginia so it’s not surprising to find one here at Sinkland Farms. The perfect fall photo!
9. Horse Riding
I only realized once we left, that horse riding was an activity at the farm. Sinkland Farms goes above and beyond during the fall season.
